I'm such an old married lady.

We're looking into selling the house.  It's 1300 sq ft 2 bed 2 bath waterfront.  It's been a great house, but it's a little long of a commute and it's a little small.  We had the realtor come by last weekend just to see what we need to do to update it and what we could get.

I'm amazed.  They don't want us to do anything major other than big time cleaning and de-cluttering.  They don't see any issue in selling this spring.  And the price in mind is not too shabby.  Not too shabby at all.

I'm really looking forward to bigger kitchen, bigger closets, bigger bathroom.  I'm really going to miss the waterfront double deck laundry off the bedroom.

More info will come.

Oh there's so much to capture over the last 3 weeks!

I will say that the wedding was great!!!  I had a marvelous time.  I was completely overwhelmed by the emotion of it all.  It is unreal to stand up in the front of a full church and look out and see all the people there just to celebrate your love for someone else.   For those of you who were there, my near tears were not nerves - I had nothing to be nervous of.  It was just completely overwhelmingly emotional.

My friend Sue told me the next day that she never had wanted a quasi traditional wedding before she came to ours.  "Quasi traditional"  I love it.  All the little things made it such a special day to me - The bell choir, the bookmark programs, my man of honor and the best woman, the tie the knot favors, the pies, the high falls beers.   I'll post more here, but thank you to everyone who could celebrate with us!  We really had a wonderful time.  :)

I submitted my grades.  Last grades ever for Prof Nordland!   Who's this Prof Leipold?

:)  Now I have 3 days to run errands, relax, and pack for 11 nights in the Caribbean!

I had a brush with Politics last night.  Eric and I were out at Dinosaur with some of his work colleagues.  A local congressional candidate was at the table next to us.  He was drinking a Labatts.  One of the colleagues with us was really not happy.  So the question is - If you are a politician, campaigning for local jobs, is it inappropriate to be supporting competitor brands?

This weekend I graded.  I'm almost caught up.  Friday I got fitted for new contacts and we picked up our Marriage license.  It's been over 24 hrs, so we could run away and legally elope any time now.   We've been cooking alot since we're home at a decent time, and the freezer is filling up!   Almost got caught up on laundry.  Doesn't this sound like an exciting weekend?

This week will include more grading.  Next weekend Mom is coming out so we can meet with the reception hall one more time.  Sunday I head to Boston to present a paper at IMECE.  It will be a short trip, but badly timed.  3 weeks until I'm on a flight to St. Vincent!

This is week 9.  8 teaching days left.  So much to do.

After almost a year of planning - we're down to one month.  One month left of Kate Nordland.  One month left of planning, and worrying.

In the next month - Try to get out on the boat before it comes out of the water, GRADE - lots of grading, a trip to Boston, a bunch of Halloween parties, determine who gets to sit with who, pack for the Caribbean!

1.5 weeks until RSVP's are due and we have 100 yes's and 4 no's.   **Is your RSVP in?**

This past weekend unhappy news - I walked out on my dress fitting because the lady wasn't very nice.
This past weekend happy news - my WINE Shower.  It was great!  It's a nice feeling to have a rack of good wine ready for tasting!  Plus it was really nice to see everyone.  :)

Last night was the final Tuesday Series race.  We finished 2nd in the race, which was awesome given the conditions.  That gave us a 2nd for the fall series.  We were really close to getting a flag for the overall Tuesday Series but just missed out.

So our flag count for the year is -

Tues Spring - 2nd place
Women Skippers (GO fleet) - 2nd place
Single Handed - 1st place
Fall Regatta (GO fleet) - 1st place
Long Distance - 2nd place
Weekend Series - 3rd place
Tues Fall - 2nd place

Tues Summer was the only series that we sailed and didn't place.  :) Two more flags left out there - Catchup race on Tuesday and Fall Weekend Series.

The crew did awesome.  Plus, I think we had a great time.

Now it's fall, and time for football and wedding plan wrapup.
